چکیده
Abstract We present the case of a 56-year-old man affected by heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and permanent atrial fibrillation, who previously underwent CRT-D implant left ventricular stimulation delivered an epicardial pacing lead due to unfavourable CS anatomy. upgraded this system bundle branch pacing. The LBB was connected plug in device order deliver multisite programmed DDDR mode delay between two LV sites chosen (modifying atrioventricular delay) after multimodality assessment (both electrocardiographic echocardiographic) obtain best resynchronization systolic performance.

Cardiac pacing in left bundle branch/bifascicular block patients.
The primary concern in patients with bifascicular block is the increased risk of progression to complete heart block. Further, an additional first-degree A-V block in patients with bifascicular block or LBBB might increase the risk of block progression. Anesthesia, monitoring and surgical techniques can induce conduction defects and bradyarrhythmias in patients with pre-existing bundle branch b...

Coronary angiography, cine left ventriculography, and the cardiovascular hemodynamics of 24 patients with left bundle branch block were studied. Seven patients were found to have significant coronary artery disease, always severe. Five had cardiomyopathy and seven had valvular disease. Only those with coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathy had abnormal left ventricular contraction patterns. ...

A RECENT STUDY of the prognosis of patients with left bundle branch block (L.B.B.B.) suggested that life expectancy was extremely short (Smith and Hayes 1965). While in general L.B.B.B. has a sinister reputation, we have been struck by a few individuals who have survived many years with L.B.B.B., and we thought an analysis of some of the material available at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfas...

OBJECTIVE To compare the different effects of right ventricular pacing and classic left bundle branch block on left ventricular function. DESIGN Retrospective and prospective study of 48 patients by electrocardiography, and M mode, cross sectional, and Doppler echocardiography. SETTING A tertiary cardiac referral centre. PATIENTS 48 patients (age range 21 to 89 years, 15 women), 24 with a...
متن کاملAutomated detection of effective left-ventricular pacing: going beyond percentage pacing counters.
AIMS Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices report percentage pacing as a diagnostic but cannot determine the effectiveness of each paced beat in capturing left-ventricular (LV) myocardium. Reasons for ineffective LV pacing include improper timing (i.e. pseudofusion) or inadequate pacing output. Device-based determination of effective LV pacing may facilitate optimization of CRT respon...
